A good run and a chance to try out Beth's new Rival for her. 8-) I've posted my pics in the VVCC album at http://kapn.pointclark.net/gallery/vvcc/. />
It was a glorious day for a paddle ('till about 3pm when the storm hit, but we were long gone by then). VVs were me, Cline and Chris and there were many other whitewater types too: Fred Lum, Sandy, Al, Glen, and a bunch of other folks I hadn't met before and have unfortunately now forgotten their names. (I knew I should have posted this on the 10th when I still knew them.)

The water was pretty shallow, but it was a good run down without any serious mishaps. I had one stupid and chilly dump when my paddle got jammed in a crevice on the downstream side of my boat. Nothing broken, but my pride, although the rocks in the Credit are sharper than I remember.

The high point was probably the drop just above dislocation eddy at ADM Milling. Lot's of nice stuff, but strong and hard to attain. I got some great pics here.

Many fun spots, including the last 500m which has many great eddies and midstream rocks for practicing manuevres. I'd completely forgotten about that bit and it was a pleasant surprise.

Cline and Chris were both looking sharp in their new boats.

Chris' Superfly is a very cool boat with much play potential, but after watching him paddle downstream in it, I can only say, "tracking? What tracking?". There isn't a straight line on it. And no room for even a water bottle. I hope to try it out soon. 8-)
