whitewater play novice paddlers 1 day
Gull River
Saturday, August 4, 2007
route:
length: 1.0km, 1 day
difficulty: novice

participants: Beth Baskin, Bonnie Bliss, Keith Nunn, Liam Nunn, Morgan Baskin, Peter Farr, Sean Farr, Stephen Farr, bunches of other people

report:

a bunch of us showed up at the Gull for varying amounts of time. The level was desperately low, but still better than when I was here two weeks before and the water was a metre away from the gauge. At least it was on the gauge today!

Still really too low for a decent run. I'm concerned for the race in September, but we can hope. Peter grounded out above the Otter Slide and Beth and I hit hard in our tandem boat as we came down the Otter Slide.

The wave was sorta there at the bottom. Morgan had fun getting warmed up and Liam had fun swimming.

We only stayed about an hour and a half. I'm not sure how long others stayed.
