Credit River - Copper Kettle Pub
Saturday, April 10, 2004 route:
length: 10.0km, 1 day
difficulty: beginner
organizer: Keith & Beth
participants: Beth Baskin, Keith Nunn, Liam Nunn, Michael Johnson, Morgan Baskin, Katherine Johnson
report:
Very low water. It was at the edge of navigability today. Nonetheless, it was navigable and provided fun and amusement for all concerned. A great exercise in water reading.
I almost looked for somewhere else to paddle, but we've done this run for so many years I couldn't quite bear to give it up.
The highlight of this run is always the Copper Kettle pub in Glen Williams. I've said it before, but it bears repeating: The food here is fantastic, and the beer list is quite good (amazing considering the location). Not a cheap joint, but an exceedingly good one. |
