whitewater play intermediate paddlers 1 day
Elora Gorge -- Ice bath
Friday, March 12, 2004
route:
length: 4.0km, 1 day
difficulty: intermediate

organizer: Chris Mack
participants: Carlo Drudi, Chris Mack, Keith Nunn, Peter Farr,

report:
Another cold water run. The chute continues to prove troublesome at this level. Largish waves and varying angles conspire to steal momentum and screw up your line.

Chris and I managed to stay upright through the chute and Peter nearly did. Carlo had a long walk out as we chased his boat 'cause I blew the boat rescue. Oh well. Beautiful scenery and a fun run.

Probably the coldest weather I've paddled in. We were absolutely covered in ice by the end of the run and the boats were much heavier because of the accumulated ice.
